Publishing the Guide Online

I'm in the process of putting the entire guide online in HTML in addition to the original PDF format. Please excuse the mess. I'll have everything up very shortly.

You can still download the PDF version here: http://www.minimame.com/downloads.asp

Just wanted to send you a note - saw your project first in the Project Arcade Book - AMAZING! Thought I'd come by and check out the site! Looks great - love the new blog format. Thinking about creating one of these as a precursor to the Ultimate Arcade II project - this way I can figure out if there are any pitfalls to avoid - plus it's cheaper if I screw this one up! :)

I went over to the downloads section, but noticed the artwork is offline ... will this be coming online again?

Keep up the great work!

Nelson - thanks for your comments! Everyone who sees one of these minis loves these little guys cause they are really cute and playable.

Anyway, the artwork was a reproduction of all the PacMan artwork for my 70% scale PacMan cabinet.

I was contacted by someone at Namco claiming I was violating their copyright. I'm no copyright expert so I thought it was safer to just remove the content.

I've been thinking about building a MAME cab for many years, but never made the time to do anything. Having seen your fantastic looking cab, I'm now inspired and motivated!
Just a couple of questions: In your opinion, would a LCD monitor work just as well? Which MAME frontend are you using? Thanks!

Any Updates on your Mini PacMan projects? I would love to see how they turned out as I am currently working on a 70% Pacman...

This is such a classy little cab. Thanks for putting together the helpful guide, too. I think my next mini mame project will be something along the lines of your design, if you don't mind the "borrowing."

Thanks for the blog and guidelines tricky. I have nearly everything needed to build one of these babies (minimame). Question tho ... what did you do for a marquee? And how did you attach it? Thanks again

Thanks for the comments! You can have an acrylic sign made at FastSigns that can be backlit. There are other sites in the net that can do the same thing but I like working one-on-one with someone on it.

You may also consider contacting the guys at http://www.pac-man.com as they have an official license from NAMCO to produce the graphics for PAC MAN if that's what your doing.

Hey tricky nice cabinet design. I tried e-mailing info@minimame.com but it said mailbox unavailable. Here is the e-mail:

hello there. You might notice I just donated $7 for your minimame creation. Actually I wanted to make it 10 but it was fixed at 7... you might want to add the option to change it. I would like to see the PDF instructions you created -- couldn't find them on the website.

I also would like to simply ask you about what height is the control panel (measure from the joybutton to the floor)? I would like to know what kind of stool or chair is required to use this, or if it could be modded to play standing up.

StatiK - Thanks for your comments and donation! (WOW!)

The link to the PDF is located on the downloads page:
http://www.minimame.com/downloads.asp

The link is right above the donate button. If you don't find it I can email it to you.
